Hello Dancefix Foundation Family!

We hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer! As we look back on the first half of 2026, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Thanks to your incredible support, Dancefix Foundation continues to grow in ways we only dreamed possible. Every class, partnership, performance, and smiling face reminds us why we believe movement has the power to build healthier, happier, and more connected communities.

Whether you've danced with us, volunteered, donated, attended an event, or simply shared our mission with others, thank you. You are helping create joyful experiences that impact lives across Greater Cincinnati.

Highlights from Q2 of 2026:

This spring has been our busiest season yet!

  • We completed an incredible six-week dance residency at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), teaching dance to every K–4 student through 118 classes, creating nearly 3,000 student experiences.

  • We expanded our school partnerships through ongoing in-school and after-school programs at 15 area schools, bringing movement, confidence, and creativity directly to students.

  • We are partnering with the Cincinnati Art Museum and Ride Cincinnati on ArtsLift, a pilot program where we will bring dance classes designed for cancer patients and survivors directly into the art museum. These classes will happen monthly beginning July 16th.

  • Our monthly partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati continues to bring laughter, movement, and joyful moments to families navigating difficult times.

  • Our free African Dance Community Class continues to grow every Saturday with a full room of dancers of all ages and experience levels.

  • We were honored to receive our first ArtsWave Catalyzing Impact Grant to support our R&B and Soul Line Dancing and Limited Mobility Seated Tap Dance classes. These classes are in full swing, attendance is averaging over 120 students per week.

  • We have completed 2 out of 3 weeks of our Lights Up! Musical Theatre Summer Camps, bringing creativity, confidence, and friendship to more than 45 young performers. Each week, campers dive into a brand-new musical adventure as they learn scripts, songs, choreography, create themed costumes and crafts, and work together to present a performance for family and friends at the end of the week. More than 60% of our campers received a full or partial financial assistance scholarship thanks to individual donations and contributions made to The Betsy Seibert Memorial Fund, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of creativity, self-expression, and belonging.

  • Over the last three months, we crafted 210 uniquely tailored dance programs, reaching 2,155 individuals (some multiple times) for a total of 260 hours, resulting in 6,768 impressions! We are thrilled with our program growth and recognize the increasing demand, especially as arts and extracurricular funding continues to dwindle in many school budgets.

Kids Dance Day Was Truly the Best Day Ever!

Last but not least, one of the biggest highlights so far this year was our inaugural Kids Dance Day at Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park.

More than 600 third and fourth graders from schools across Greater Cincinnati came together to perform a choreographed dance that we taught during our in-school visits while experiencing a day filled with movement, music, performances, and celebration!

Students enjoyed at no cost:

  • Transportation to the event

  • A delicious lunch provided by our friends at La Soupe

  • Their very own Kids Dance Day T-shirt

  • Interactive performances from incredible community partners including Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Art Museum, Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Kung Fu, The Well, Revolution Dance Theater, Drums for Peace, QKidz, Artist Evan Verilli, and the Cincinnati Reds and Flying Pig Mascots!

For many students, this was their first visit to Eden Park and their first opportunity to experience live performing arts. Watching hundreds of children dance together reminded us exactly why Dancefix Foundation exists—to create access so students can experience joy, connection, and confidence through the arts.

A huge thank you to P&G, LaSoupe, Rumpke Recycling, Interact for Health, Cincinnati Parks Foundation, and donations in memory of Alan E. Oestrich for sponsoring Kids Dance Day, we are so grateful! We also want to recognize our amazing Kids Dance Day Committee members Diane Rumpke, Ann Gibson, and Jeanne Coughlin, along with the 60+ volunteers who made the day possible. It really does take a village, thank you!

Looking Ahead

As summer continues, we're preparing for another exciting school year filled with new residencies, expanded community programming, and even more opportunities to bring movement to schools and neighborhoods across Greater Cincinnati.
